Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst
(I see what, you don´t see.) The children’s home “Haus Lebensfreude” (House enjoyment of life) is home to 50 children and young people who live a life with disabilities. Henriette visited this home and its inhabitants over many months and captured her impressions in photographs. It was important to her to not to show primarily the sickness but the being of the children themselves. The work is not to be understood as a documentary series in a classical sense, it is more an observation of the atmospheric state of place. The result are portraits, photographs of interiors and still lifes.
